Shipping & Warm-Weather Policies
We ship all orders with the same care and attention that goes into making our chocolates. Because our products are perishable, we’ve created specific shipping guidelines to ensure your chocolates arrive fresh, beautiful, and ready to enjoy.
📦 Carriers & Schedule
- We ship exclusively with UPS
- Orders are shipped Monday through Thursday

No Friday, Saturday, or Sunday shipments
(We don’t want your chocolates sitting in a warm warehouse over the weekend.)
Orders placed after our Thursday cutoff will ship the following Monday.
🚚 Transit Times
We want your chocolates to spend no more than two days in transit.
- If your delivery address is within 2-day UPS Ground from our shop at ZIP 44118, we will ship UPS Ground

- If UPS Ground to your destination is 3+ days, we will email you to determine if you want to upgrade shipment to UPS 2-Day Air
This ensures faster and more reliable delivery to protect the quality of your order.
☀️ Warm-Weather Protocol
Chocolate is delicate — when temperatures rise, we take extra precautions.
- Orders going to warmer climates (or during summer months) ship UPS 2-Day Air
- We include an insulated liner and cool packs
- Packages are marked for careful handling
We strongly recommend shipping to a location where someone can receive the delivery promptly, especially during heat waves.
🧁 Extreme Weather Delays
Occasionally, we may hold a shipment if:
- Temperatures are dangerously high
- UPS service disruptions occur
- A delivery would risk weekend storage
If your order is held, we will notify you with the new expected ship date.
🍫 Melt-Risk & Shipping Disclaimer
We take every precaution to protect your chocolates — insulated packaging, cool packs during warm weather, and fast transit times. However, once a package leaves our shop, we are no longer able to control heat exposure, delivery conditions, or the timing of package retrieval.
We cannot guarantee against:
- Chocolate softening or melting if left outside after delivery
- Weather-related carrier delays
- Delivery to unattended addresses
If your order arrives with concerns, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos so we can help find the best resolution.
📦 Returned or Undeliverable Shipments
UPS considers a shipment undeliverable if:
- The address is incorrect or incomplete
- The package is refused
- No one claims the package after multiple delivery attempts
In these cases:
- UPS may automatically return the package to us
- Perishable items can be reshipped to the appropriate address for an additional fee
📬 Delivery Estimates & Carrier Timelines
UPS transit times are estimates, not guarantees. Weather events, route changes, or carrier delays may occasionally extend delivery timelines beyond what is shown at checkout.
Once UPS has accepted the package, delivery timing is outside of our control.
We always choose the fastest and most reliable option that keeps your chocolates safe, and we monitor all shipments closely — but delays can still happen, especially during holidays and peak shipping seasons.
🚫 Lost or Stolen Packages
If a package is marked “Delivered” by UPS but cannot be located:
- First, please check with neighbors, front desk staff, or the mail room
- Look for a notice of attempted delivery
- Contact UPS directly to initiate a trace
Because theft or loss after delivery is unfortunately outside our control, we are unable to provide refunds for packages that are confirmed as successfully delivered by the carrier.
However — please reach out to us. We care deeply about your experience and will do our best to help however we can.
